Defection in Sabah: My thoughts

I know this is a bit late to wrote about this, since it was about an event which happen 3 weeks ago. The reason why i decided to blog about this matter because i received many response on my comments in the articles stated below.

Pushparani Thilaganathan wrote this articles on August 3rd in Free Malaysia Today:

Sabah defection: All eyes on Ghapur

According to the articles above, escalating rumours from Kota Kinabalu have named former Sabah deputy chief minister Ghapur Salleh as the next UMNO MP likely to defect. Speculation are rife that Ghapur will be among others whom Anwar will meet when he travel to Sabah on Aug 12.

This turn out to be a hear say. Instead of Ghapur, United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) deputy president, Senator Maijol Mahap has announce his defection to PKR during Anwar visit to Sabah.

My opinion on the issues can be summarize as; Why Anwar and PKR choose to lured the obsolete BN leaders to their fold as their strategy, instead of empowering/developing the local PKR chapter in Sabah. Opposition didn't have any capable leader in Sabah, so i rather choose BN/Musa Aman to lead the state government.

I started with the opinion below:
Anwar & PKR tactics make me puke, recycling BN leaders who doesn't want to step down or have the possibility to be dropped in the next GE.

Why choosing the easy way? Why Anwar/PKR didn't choose to work out their Party's chapter in Sabah by training new leaders & bring up the existing one? No wonder PKR seems like non-existence in Sabah for the past 3-4 years. It is because Anwar/PKR is actually doesn't have any thoughts or plans to develop the opposition front in Sabah...they rather choose the easy way by luring obsolete BN leaders to their fold...

I rather vote for BN in the next GE. ABU is not applicable in Sabah, because there is no Sabah chapter or Sabah based opposition party that seems to have the capability to administered this state.
I added the comment below when things started to heat up:
Just put yourself in Sabahan voters shoes. or atleast on my shoes.

Sabahan opposition front is a joke of the century.

DAP Sabah is busy going here & there complaining about menial issues which doesn't really bother Sabahan as a whole.

PAS Sabah try to bring Islam values to Sabah, which scared the hell out of most Sabahan's Muslim, which mostly liberal, open minded people.

STAR Sabah...Look at the party's leader history, jumping here & there...

PKR Sabah is close to non-existence...

SAPP...another Katak & spoiler, no capable & sincere leader also...

please noted that all the parties stated above (DAP,Pas & PKR as one) is not closely united & everyone wants to stand in every state & parliament seat available in Sabah...

So tell me, what choice do we have other than the current government?
Other comments:
Reading the comment above, i cant stop thinking that Sabah is no more than a ticket to Putrajaya...peduli la Sabah maju atau tidak, yang penting aku dapat duduk & makan di kerusi yg Najib dapat duduk tu..hmmm...

PR & BN as far as im concern is the same breed. So i will choose those who had the experience administrating this state.
... by voting PR will solved the (Illegal immgrant) problems? Do PR really care about solving all the issues? The way Anwar handle Sabah gives the impression that Sabah is just a ticket to Putrajaya. Do he really think about Sabah problems? or he is more concern about ways to lured BN leaders to PR?
...So you agree with Anwar's/PKR ways of handling Sabah politically? by luring obsolete BN leaders to their fold instead of empowering the local PKR chapter in Sabah?

Remember the leadership crisis two years ago? The local PKR chapter could not even sort their own problems, need to call the leaders from the peninsular to sort their problems..

After the matter has been sort out, Sabah PKR has been idling, except when some of their leader comes to Sabah. Kalau tak ada bos datang, semua diam2 duduk di rumah, occasionally bising2 di FMT and Sabahkini over some menial issues...
There are few more but i think i've shown enough. Maybe i should write a short articles about this matter? Maybe later...

Review on Sabah's oil Royalty.

Joseph Binkasan, a well known journalist / writer in Sabah, wrote this piece on August 23:

Among other, Joseph reported that several opposition leader, such as STAR Sabah chairman Jeffrey Kitingan and Sepanggar SAPP MP Eric Majimbun questioned the Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman's sincerity in suggesting a review on Sabah's oil royalty.

Eric Majimbun even questioned the step that Musa take, which is to bring the matter first into the State Assembly. Eric stated that Musa "could have just made a demand for an increase in the oil royalty without first tabling such a demand  for approval from the State Legislative Assembly".

This is my response to this matter, which i posted in the article's comment thread:

Sandiwara or not, Musa has said it on the public & on the record, which means that he will bare the responsibility to walk his talk.

Musa's way of tabling the demand first in the state assembly, instead of looking it as an excuse, should be see as a way for Musa to make the demand as an official matter, with black & white document to support his cause.

Such demand should be logical, on a condition that every party (the states & federal government, & Petronas) will not end up on a losing side. There should be a win-win solution which will will give positive outcome to all parties in a long run.

Developing a states needs a lot of fund, same goes to developing a country or running a O&G company.
It's doesn't matter on which time Musa choose to suggest a revision on the Sabah oil royalty. The bottom line is, the announcement has been made in public, the federal government has give its agreement in principle, and the Chief Minister will bring this matter to the state assembly, to make it as official as possible.

The Beginning.

Everyone have their own way how to get rid something from their mind, or in other words, letting out something out from their system...

It's doesn't matter what subject or issues, the bottom line is they need to get it out, for various reason which only the individual know.

Family problems, work related problems, relationship problems or even financial problems, a person need to let it out, just to keep their sane intact or maybe to enjoy a temporary relieves, to make themselves relax so that they can find any solution to their problems.

I too have to let my thoughts out. I can't keep this thoughts on my own because i will end up forgetting about it. That's why i set this blog up.

I need to get rid of my thoughts about the political development in my beloved state, Sabah.

Some of my opinion also cover the political development in and around Malaysia.

The problem with living far from your hometown is, there is no one to share with on the subject that i love to talk about, which i already stated above.

So, if you happen to read this blog, bare with me because i love to think the other way around and you might find yourself not agreeing with most of my opinion.

Thanks.
